Srinagar, Jun 22 (KNO): Authorities have said that the separate schools with grades upto 10th standard were utilizing a greater number of teachers. It also said that the retention rate for schools with grades up to 12th standard was 100 percent. According to the official documents accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the authorities have said “It was also informed that separate schools with grades upto 10 are utilizing a greater number of teachers.” “Moreover, the retention rate for schools with grades up to 12 is 100 percent whereas there is a drop in the other types due to multiple school structure,” it reads. The documents further reveal that the UDISE for 2022-23 was in the process of being released and “In the meantime the Ministry is trying to correlate and triangulate the data to assess the reason for any increase or decrease in the educational indicators.” “However, a matter of concern was noted in that there seems to be a decrease in the number of seats available as a student goes up to a higher grade due to which seamless transfer has been affected,” it reads. The official documents reveal that in order to address many such issues, it was informed that a state and UT specific analysis based on the latest UDISE plus shall be shared shortly by DDG Statistics. “States and UTs were advised to share these data with senior officials to facilitate pertinent policy level decisions as per requirement,” it reads—(KNO)
